Chuck Glose
Instructor Chuck Glose is a long time Rogue Valley resident. In 1998, he began his firefighting career with the Hendersonville Fire Department in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He became a paramedic in 2001. Chuck joined the Medford (Oregon) Fire Department in 2003. In 2009 he created the departments’ Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Active Shooter Response programs. Since then, he’s taught TCCC and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) to hundreds of firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and medical personnel. He was promoted to Captain in 2011. Over the next several years, he assisted in a collaboration between the Medford Police and Fire Departments in creating a SWAT medic program and he’s currently a SWAT Medic. He is also a four-time presenter at the State of Jefferson EMS Conference and has consulted Fire and Law Enforcement agencies on incorporating medical personnel into active shooter response. He has also trained regional K9 handlers in K9 Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. In 2019 he opened TECC instruction to the civilian community and has taught in varied groups from firearms enthusiasts to winery staff to members of the Humane Society. His awards include Firefighter of the Year, Lifesaving Award, Distinguished Service Award, and Medal of Valor.
